Opatija 21 d.o.o. continuously takes measures to ensure that its websites are accessible in accordance with the Act on the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications of Public Sector Bodies (Official Gazette, No. 17/2019) (hereinafter: the Act), which transposes Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 October 2016 on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies into Croatian legislation.
Opatija 21 d.o.o. recognises the importance of ensuring digital accessibility for all users, with particular emphasis on facilitating access to public services and information for persons with disabilities. It applies, to the greatest extent possible, relevant laws, regulations, and good practice through the continuous improvement of user experience, implementing applicable accessibility standards in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) of the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), the organisation responsible for standardising web technologies.

Level of compliance
The websites of Opatija 21 d.o.o. are largely compliant with the provisions of the Act. Non-compliance with the Act
- On some pages, the text structure and correct reading order cannot be programmatically determined, which makes it difficult to read the pages using assistive technologies.
- Documents published in PDF format are not fully accessible, for example in terms of contrast, use of colours, and text structure. In scanned PDF files, the ability to read content using assistive technologies is limited or not available.
Disproportionate burden
- For all non-compliances listed in the previous section, Opatija 21 d.o.o. temporarily invokes the exception on the grounds of disproportionate burden within the meaning of Article 8 of the Act.
Content not covered by the scope of applicable legislation
- In accordance with Article 3 of the Act, PDF files published before 23 September 2018 are classified by Opatija 21 d.o.o. as archival and are therefore exempt from the application of the Act.
